Frequently Asked Questions

Is the assessment really free?

Yes. There’s no charge and no obligation to proceed with anything afterwards.

How long does it take?

The questionnaire itself takes about two minutes. Dr Qurbain personally reviews your case and gets back to you within 1-2 working days.

Do you perform spine surgery yourself?

No. Dr Anzal Qurbain, GMC-registered, carries out your initial assessment and, where surgery may genuinely be appropriate, refers you directly to one of our specialist Harley Street spine surgeons. This means your assessment is independent — you get an honest opinion first, not a sales pitch for a procedure.

What happens if I have red-flag symptoms?

If you tell us about symptoms like numbness/weakness in your legs, loss of bladder or bowel control, unexplained weight loss, or fever, we’ll advise you to seek urgent care from your GP or A&E straight away — please don’t wait for our response if that applies to you.

What if I don’t need surgery?

Most back pain doesn’t. If that’s the case for you, we’ll be honest about it and point you toward the right next step — whether that’s self-care advice or a referral to your GP or a physiotherapist.

Is my information kept private?

Yes. Your details are reviewed personally by Dr Qurbain and handled confidentially, in line with standard data protection requirements for private medical practice.

Where are you based?
